Robin Sachs

It’s with sadness that I have to announce the death at the age of 61 of actor, Robin Sachs (who narrated the audiobook versions of my novel, Bone Machines and Kali’s Kiss) and musician Jonathan “Johnny JT Afterwish” Taylor, 47, who produced my friend, Jonathan Taylor’s album, Priest.

My sincerest condolences go out to the friends and families of these two fantastic, creative, inspirational men.

Review of Kali’s Kiss (Audiofile)

Audiofile Magazine coverAfter discovering the mutilated body of a young Indian woman, DI Tom Kendrick of the Glasgow police suspects the girl was the victim of ritual murder. Kendrick enlists the aid of forensic anthropologist Elizabeth Bell, who supports his theory with facts about the Indian community and the cult of Kali, goddess of destruction. Robin Sachs makes the narration seem effortless as he navigates Glasgow’s multicultural neighborhoods. He brings a gravelly appeal to Kendrick, and as more killings occur, Sachs delivers scenes of the unimaginable brutality experienced by illegal immigrants tricked into slavery. Sachs offers a credible variety of Scots burrs, lilting Asian accents, and well-drawn personalities as Kendrick and Bell uncover shocking truths about drug and human trafficking and the cultural exploitation of women. Bone Machines, the audiobook – out now!

Bone MachinesYou can listen to a sample of the audiobook version of Bone Machines, right now on Amazon. Robin Sachs has done an incredible job with the performance with my book. The cover art is great, also. I do hope you will give it a listen. Even better – buy a copy, and tell your friends!
